Losing water? Licensed San Diego pool contractor (#1106211) with a real price up front, serving homeowners since 2012.
You see it on a hot morning. The water line is a little lower than yesterday. Maybe the auto-fill keeps running, or there's a wet spot in the yard that wasn't there last week. Pools lose some water to the San Diego sun every day, so it's easy to wait and see. But a pool that keeps dropping is often telling you something is wrong. That's where pool leak detection comes in. As part of our swimming pool repair in San Diego, World Pools Inc finds the leak and repairs it, from underground pipe breaks to equipment pad leaks. We've served San Diego pool owners since 2012. Call us or request a quote, and we'll find out where your water is going.
When your pool is losing water, you want someone who finds the problem, not someone who guesses. Here is what you can count on.
You don't need one company to find the leak and another to fix it. We find it, from underground pipe breaks to equipment pad leaks, and repair it.
We tell you where the water is going and what's causing it, in plain words. No jargon, and no guessing.
World Pools Inc is a licensed pool contractor (license #1106211). We build, remodel, and repair pools, so we work on the whole pool, not just one part.
Once we find the leak, you'll know what's wrong and what the repair costs before we start. No surprises halfway through.
Pools lose a little water every day to sun and wind. A leak is different. It keeps taking water, day after day, and it can hide where you can't see it: in the pipes under your deck, at the equipment pad, or in the pool itself. The longer a leak runs, the more water you pay for.
That's why we start by finding where your water is going. Then we fix it. From Point Loma and La Mesa to Rancho Peñasquitos and Chula Vista, we do pool leak detection and repair for homeowners across San Diego, as one part of our full swimming pool repair service. Don't see your neighborhood? Call us. There's a good chance we still cover it.
Not sure if it's a leak? Watch for these signs.
You add water more often, or the level is lower every morning than it was the day before.
An auto-fill can hide a leak by topping off the water for you. If yours runs more than it used to, pay attention.
A soft, soggy patch in the yard or near the equipment, with no rain and no sprinklers nearby.
A jump in your water bill, and nothing else you can point to.
Constant bubbles can mean air is getting into the plumbing. A leak can be the reason.
Cracks in the pool, or tile coming loose, can be a sign that water is getting out of the pool itself.
See one or more of these signs? Call us, and we'll find out what's going on.

Here's a simple test you can do at home before you call for pool leak detection. All you need is a bucket and one day. It's a quick check, not a final answer. Only a real look at your pool can tell for sure.
Use any bucket. If your pool has an auto-fill, turn it off first so it can't top off the pool.
Keep the water inside the bucket level with the water outside. If the bucket floats, weigh it down with a rock or a brick.
Put a piece of tape on the bucket at its water line. Then mark the pool's water level on the pool wall.
Wait 24 hours. Skip the test if rain is coming, and don't swim while it runs.
See how far the water dropped in the bucket and in the pool. The bucket shows what the sun and wind did. The pool shows what they did, plus any leak.
That points to a leak. It can be in the plumbing, at the equipment pad, or in the pool itself. Call us, and we'll find it and repair it.
Call (619) 721-0710That's most likely evaporation, not a leak. Keep an eye on your water level, and call us if it still seems off.
Not sure how to read your marks? Call us, and we'll help you figure it out.
A pool leak can start in three places.
A break in a pipe under the deck or the yard can leak with nothing showing on top. That's why a dropping water level is often the first clue, and sometimes a wet spot in the yard.
Pumps, filters, heaters, and their pipes all meet here. A loose connection or a worn part can drip or spray, so wet ground near the pad is worth a look.
Water can also escape through a crack or another weak spot in the pool. You often can't see it from the deck, so the bucket test and a dropping water level are your clues.
No two pool leaks cost the same. The price depends on where the leak is, how big it is, and how hard it is to reach. A small leak that's easy to reach costs less to repair than a big one that's hard to get to. That's why we find the leak first, then give you a real price before any repair starts, not a guess over the phone.
